THIS IS UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE !! ASK US TO MAKE OUR PC's VULNERABLE SO WE CAN PLAY A GAME.
CLEAN UP YOUR MESS, IT WORKED BEFORE TODAY !! YOU HAVE AN ANTI CHEAT THAT ONLY PREVENTS PEOPLE FROM PLAYING NOW !!

I got it to work by completely uninstalling webroot.

This is ridiculous, EA is killing their game even more. I'm not uninstalling my security features to play your game. EA fix yourself.

I uninstalled webroot, and now the game is working. That is actually unacceptable that people have to uninstall their AV just to play a game. Get this fixed quick or people will start uninstalling the game.

Same here. Disabling it did absolutely nothing, adding to allow files did nothing. I really don't want to not have antivirus uninstalled. Worked completely fine prior to patch
- Sulaiman-1784 years agoNot applicable@BigUnknownGamer Do you get an error message? Or the game just does not start after the EAC loading screen with no errors?

- Sulaiman-1784 years agoNot applicable@BigUnknownGamer If you don't have Webroot installed then you just need to repair EAC by going to its folder inside the Battlefield 2042 installation folder, you'll see an exe with EAC_Setup it'll repair the service if it's corrupted
