Summarize your bug The bug relates to use of the bipod underbarrel attachment on the LCMG. The bipod works correctly the first time it is deployed after selecting it from the plus menu. However, if I move away from the surface on which it is deployed, sometimes it does not deploy correctly the next time I move over a deployable surface, even it if is back to the same spot where it was previously deployed. If I am killed and have to respawn, even though the bipod attachment is still active, it will not deploy at all. I have to open the plus menu, and quickly unselect and reselect it. The description of the bipod says that I cannot move while it is attached, but most of the time (90%+) I am able to move.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Attach the bipod to the LCMG and deploy it to a surface (e.g. Irish’s shield). If it deploys correctly, you will see the crosshairs narrow to indicate the improved accuracy. Then move away from that surface. Then return to the surface and the crosshairs sometimes will not narrow, indicating that it has not deployed despite it being in the same place. If you then open the plus menu, you will see that the bipod is still selected.
What happens when the bug occurs? The bipod does not deploy
What should be happening instead? It should deploy and the crosshairs narrow.

I suspect the root cause of this bug is that I should not be able to move away when the bipod is deployed in the first place.

  • What you have to do is press the Toggle Underbarrel button on the device that you would be using and it should deploy the bipod to be used, not a bug just a case of the instructions to use not being completely clear.
