Another thing to add is the likelihood of a memory leak. Having monitored my RAM usage over the course of a play session, I have observed a steady increase in the amount being used by BF2042.
The recommended specs list 16GB of RAM, which I have. The fact that I can have BF2042 running and not much else and still run out of space would suggest that something is not working as it should, or the recommended specs are incorrect. I suspect this may also be having flow on effects that is creating instability overall.
