What windows update did you install?
If your using Windows 11 and installed the 22H2 update, this has major problems with Nvidia cards, it creates massive FPS drops and stuttering, it's basically unplayable. Nvidia and Microsoft have acknowledged the issue and Nvidia issued a fix...BUT the fix was applied to the GeForce experience app only, so if your like me and don't use the GeForce experience app, then will have to either wait for a fix to be applied just on the Geforce driver or revert back to the previous version of Windows 11. I tried the new Windows 11 update only a few days ago to see if the problem was fixed yet, and it's not, so I had to roll back the version. Yes I'm using the current Nvidia driver 522.25.
If you're not using Windows 11 then ignore what I said above, or it could be something else.
The nVidia 522.25 drivers actually fixed the Windows 11 22h2 update performance issues for me. Did you do a clean Windows 11 install?!
I didnt clean install 22H2, I probably should have and will try again. Your right, I can see people online reporting this issue is now fixed. Cheers.
