Low framerates and stuttering on games with lots of players

When joining any type of game with 64 players or more, the game will either rubberband, stutter or both. 128 is completely unplayable.

It is possible to play on small maps with 16x16, like TDM.

When in game I ask people on chat if they experience lag, but they don't. So it's a local issue.

FPS in game is between 60 when there're not much happening on screen, and 30ish when there is a lot of action. I also experience that when shooting, the shots are lagging. Instead of a steady auto fire it lags and stutters.

My character some times rubberbands around, so i.e. when I let go of W it continues to slide half a step forwards and it feels like walking in molasses.

This makes the game pretty much unplayable.

3D Mark scores are good:

Speedway GPU: 3160 (Great)

Time Spy (Dx12): 11 409 (Good). Graphics score 12334 and CPU 8009.

Network is great. I run cabled network. I've updated my router firmware. I've switched the cable with a new one and tested other network ports on the router. I have a fiber connection.

Online speed test shows 246.10 Mbps down and 250.29 Mbps up.

My game graphics settings are optimized using GeForce Experience, but I also get the same result on lowest settings. I run the latest game ready driver.

I've reinstalled BF2042.

I've used CCleaner to update all drivers, and I have updated my BIOS.

I am not running any other software in the background, and there are noone using the internet connection except me.

Any suggestions what I should look into?

EDIT: I've added a screenshot from a 128 player match. There is a lot of action going on outside, while not much going on inside the building where my character is. Still the frame rate is 35-ish according to NVIDIA overlay, and my character keeps floating and rubber banding around.
