Exactly this " Could it be that you're matchmaking into a match & loading a map > you spawn and get to play for a few seconds > but you get kicked back to the main menu without error message"
it could be a few seconds or few minutes would be the only deviation from the above timeline

Just do double check; is this issue immediately present for you during your first playtime of the game, or are you able to play 1 or 2 normal matches and then this issue happens?

The issue is Immediate present, doesn't matter what play mode or Map including Portal or the number of times I try to restart a game.
Actions I've taken so far have been:
Reinstalled,
End task the game, restarted and still same issue persists

I have been playing auite intensively this last month with no issu, it has just happend now for exodus conauest 64 players, i am getting back to main screen after no error message displayed. Playing on PC steam version...
Same issue, all I want to do is play single player matches against AI/Bots, I have ZERO interest in playing against other players. Every time I try to do solo, it says waiting for 4 people, then loads another screen with a 10 sec count down and dumps me back to the main menu. Please let us know if this is going to be fixed or not as I want to get a refund from steam if this is how it's going to be. This is insane, get the game to work locally, enough with these server connections and this connection and that connection. Get it to be like BF2 was.

Issue is still persisting and it seems to be affecting more and more players

Update 1.2 of Battlefield 2042 has been released on Aug. 2, a few days ago.
Have you experienced the issue again since Update 1.2 was released?
