Big sorry for not coming back to respond, busy schedule (Like really $&@#ing busy). So, the thing I have to come clean is I have fixed it.

Not long after I sent this issue report (Which is very far away from now), I have verified the game files on Steam and it has detected a couple files were corrupted or missing. Steam got the files downloaded, and then the game went just fine again (Allow me to address my big mad regarding my Tier 1 "Season 01: Zero Hour Badge" is still missing! But I'll "send my regard" on other folk's appropriate issue reports later).

Now here's the thing: That wasn't just one time. Later I realized every time the game receives an update I'll have to verify the files again due to "file corrupted or missing" and it's just Battlefield 2042. Apparently there's something wrong with the client (Either Steam / EA) and possibly not fixable by us. The good news is I've figured out how to fix the issue and I can play just fine now. But I feel like coming back here (Finally) and report what I have found.

    Hey there! I’m on Xbox series X and I’m getting the same issues. 98% of the time when I try joining a game I go to a completely black screen after the airplane animation and just go straight back to the lobby with no error code or anything. This happens so often I can’t evne play the game when I feel like it. Any ideas on how to fix it? Or is it just an issue with the game possibly that’ll be patched soon?

        Hi,
        I seem to bet getting a similar problem.
        I play on PS5.
        I try to get into match with my friends ( both play on PC) after the count down sometimes I get a black screen and sometimes the picture of the map and after several seconds I get back to the lobby, while they get to the match.
        I don't get to walk around several seconds, I get kicked almost immediately after the countdown is over.
        I tried restarting my ps5 and my modem but that didn't work.
        Can someone help please?
