Me and my platoon friend cannot see each other being online

I am not sure how many weeks ago it started but I cannot see my friend being online on the EA app and BF2042 and he also does not see me online.

we are both set to look online as normal yet I do not know what can I do now.

Could someone please help?

    I still have the same issue where my friends see me offline and I see them offline.

    Is there any tech support staff in I can contact?

    Update:

    I think we managed to fix it by unfriending and re-friending each other.
