Solution to the problem I was having: delete the cache folder in My Documents/Battlefield 2042

I am trying to change the ‘Mouse’ binding. Not keyboard binding and it does not accept the mouse input for the change. For example, I am trying to bind my side mouse button (Button 4 or button 5) to the gadget or specialist gadget function and Im not able to do that.
i was able to do this fine during the beta.
I have found that indeed clearing your cache in Documents/Battlefield2042 does indeed do the trick. Can now correctly bind my mouse and don’t get the stupid xbox controller popup

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Set Keybind in Option, when game eventually loaded, keybinds did not work. Ie, Fire was using "e" & "Enter" instead of "left click".
What happens when the bug occurs? Irritation and Frustration - Unplayable
What should be happening instead? Binding the Key.

After deleting cache, and repairing game in origin launcher, could not get into a game - after 5-10min of waiting for players in que?
Terrible experience !!!
No need to reset bindings. Just remove key and mouse bindings for looking up/down/left/right and assign them again. Worked for me.
