Network Graph - Update 3.2

Hi Everyone!

With the latest update from the team, we've changed the Network tab and information available slightly. I wanted to take a moment and share some information on the new settings options and share how it looks in-game.

You can enable or disable the option from the in-game settings menu by going to settings > Select "General" > Then select the "Network" tab

  • You can enable Performance BarPerformance GraphDamage Log, and Event Graph.
  • To turn these features on select 3 options to either hide or see network performance: HIDE, ALWAYS, ON PROBLEMS (Some options can only be Off/On).
  • In order to better see these indicators you can now adjust their Horizontal and Vertical positions on your HUD and change their Background Opacity.

***Click below for a screenshot of the settings menu.

Hello: Thanks for the reply. If you saw my screenshots you know what I have going on. I guess what I'm trying to figure out though is what those lines actually mean. I've read what the game says they mean. I suppose the question is my machine not up to the job or is it my connection to the servers? Which is what the graph means. Is the graph showing the actual "network"? What is the red packets icon showing-up in the upper left corner when it happens? Interestingly, I just got off a 3 hour session of 2042 playing my own custom servers I've put together with the portal function and the rules editor. The game played flawlessly. The graph, smooth and steady. Game settings on high, However, that was at 2am this morning. No doubt very few people online using bandwidth I'm trying to get, right? One, that tells me that my machine and your game are not the issue. That's why I need to know what that graph actually means. Also interestingly when I play and I have game windowed with the task manager showing and it locks-up or stutters I see the ether performance graph goes to zero kbps on the send side I think. Here's the caveat. My system isn't the newest. So I know it would be easy to just say "the machine is too old, get a better machine". Keep in mind that my machine played 2042 at a moderate level with the old GPU. The system is MSI Z87 -65GD -Gaming MB, I7-4790K CPU clocked at 4 gig. 32 gigs DDR3 RAM clocked at 2400MHZ. The MB is 12 years old. The new addition has been the GPU upgrade to Radeon RX 9060 XT, 16 gig DDR6 RAM. Old GPU was Radeon RX 6600 XT, 8 gigs DDR4. This machine will play perfectly every other version of BF anytime, anywhere. Ok, so that's why I've spent a great deal of time tweaking the game setting, and display settings. But like clockwork the issue persists. When it's happening it's 5 sec. running, 5 sec. freeze, like clockwork. Then when it played perfectly this morning, display and game settings are at 2560 x 1440 @ 144hz. I have FPS limited to 75. If I were to try to play now here in Medford OR at like 10am the game would "vapor-lock". But this morning at 2 -5am the game will play terrific. When I see it happen, which is all the time during the day, I can see in the system display that neither the GPU or CPU are maxed-out. The system has 48 gigs of RAM, only about 18 gigs total being used when I play. So having said all that how should I interpret what the graph is clearly showing?

Likewise hope we meet in the field of battle. BTW, 2042, IMHO is excellent. I've played BF in all it's forms since day one. I've played all the COD games Not comparable. I call COD the SRSD game (spawn run shoot die). Isn't it funny there is so many "expert" critics about 2042 out there. I guess it's easy to pick on the big dumb kid at school (-;  Let me know what you think.
