@EA_LeeuwSo I can confirm that it is not only Focusrite related. I switched from my Focusrite 6i6 to onboard Realtek sound card on my ASUS Prime Z690-A board. The sound drops and crackle has to do with the game itself. I have 32GB Kingston Fury Beast 6000 running @5400MHz, on I5-12600K@default clocks auto settings and ram timings and voltages also all auto. I have a MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 2x OC running @ defaults. The thing is it has to do with the graphics which were too much to that the gk is capable of transporting. It mostly happens when u zoom in to the next corner of the map with a long scope, or u turn ur self around to an area which u were no longer turned to. I have 3440x1440 monitor and I play at native resolution with Dlss @ around 100fps. Maybe my gk has not enough memory or fast memory. But it definitely has to do with memory management of the game or the gk or windows maybe?
I would like to bring up again the topic of MSI Afterburner OSD and Rivatuner Statistics Server not working in BF2042 after the season 6 update. Is it really the case that from now on all new EA games will not support MSI Afterburner? This is a very helpful software to see which PC component is the bottleneck or serves to limit FPS.
Displaying OSD via Desktop Overlay Host is not a solution!!!! because some features of Nvidia drivers like image scaling do not work.
Please game developers come to your senses and unblock these programs, I don't understand why this program is still blocked.
All other games don't block this mega popular program, and EA like EA comes up with controversial ideas.
At least give an official announcement why MSI Afterburner + Rivatuner Statistics Server is currently blocked in BF2042, and probably in other new EA games. Since you decide to do an act, explain to us why, or provide a link to the explanation, as I might have missed something.
Please fix this bug in Season 7, which is supposedly coming.
I don't want to mention anymore how helpful these programs are when checking CPU or GPU OC.... (I mean the effect of OC on increasing performance in the game, whether it makes sense, because it may turn out that not the CPU but the GPU is the cause of low FPS or vice versa)
Intel PresentMon, unfortunately, is not enough, because it does not have even half of what MSI Afterburner has in its OSD menu, and Intel PresentMon does not display some sensors (cannot read their values) well, and above all Intel PresentMon does not have the ability to limit FPS, this is a problem especially since BF2042 does not have a command in the console that limits the amount of FPS in the game.
EA please give some message if you are planning to unlock OSD Rivatuner Statistics Server + MSI Afterburner display in your EA games, as it was in BF V and older or already these 2 programs will be permamently blocked in your products.
I ask the EA studio to take a serious interest in the topic and not pretend that the problem does not exist. Currently Rivatuner Statistics Server + MSI Afterburner has probably currently the best developed, OSD and not to mention, how to add HWINFO.
Sincerely

When considering EA AntiCheat's whitelist, a person might think it refers to a list of trusted users, applications, or programs that are allowed to bypass certain anti-cheat checks, ensuring smooth gameplay without false positives. They may wonder if this could create unfair advantages for some players, or if it's a necessary measure to avoid flagging legitimate software. The whitelist could also spark thoughts about the balance between preventing cheats and maintaining user trust in the system's fairness and transparency.
