PC - GetDeviceRemovedReason failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG on ROG G15 Laptop

Hi Everyone, 

I'm playing on my ROG Zephyrus G15 laptop. Usually I play games using the "Turbo" setting in armory crate but playing BF 2042 using Turbo only leads to crashes. So I have to use the "Performance" settings instead. Details below:

I'm having issues with the game for when I am playing with "Turbo" setting on armory crate. Every time I am playing the game with the turbo setting, I will always receive a DirectX error "getdeviceremovedreason" every time I jump into a game. 

BUT, when I play using the "Performance" setting on armory crate, the game runs well with no issues.

I am wondering if there are any ways I can play using the "Turbo" settings because playing on "Performance" setting really hits the game performance and FPS. I really want to play with the "Turbo" setting so I can get the maximum FPS and overall better gaming performance experience.

For information, I am playing using EA Play app on desktop.

Here are my specs:

Windows 10

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 (GA503QM)

Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU GDDR6 @ 6GB (192 bits)

Ram: 16GB

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

DxDiag: file attached

I have tried multiple ways to fix this from any sources I could find (YouTube, Google, forum answers, etc.) from deleting cache, clean boot, and other things. But nothing enables me to play BF 2042 using the "Turbo" settings.

Can anyone help me out with this? Also, please let me know if there are any other info I can provide that can help with this fix.

    Yeah there are issues with armoury crate and AI Suite also.
    If ya google for it , you will see many people with turbo enabled got game crashes.

    What i read is , to uninstall armoury crate (with tool) and ai suite if its installed !
    Some did reinstall windows without armoury crate / ai suite !!!

    if ya need LED controller then you could use this:
    https://www.asus.com/campaign/aura/us/download.php

    open this site and click on 1.07.79_V2.2. at the bottom of the page
    (maybe there ius an update now , check it)

    Hi @Rokebo73, thanks for the insight!

    So, what I understand is that I need to uninstall Armory Crate entirely and no need to reinstall it?

    I'll give that a try and update it later. But I have a question, since I'm not really a tech-guy, how can I adjust my laptop for maximum performance setting without Armory Crate? Sorry, I'm not really familiar with PC stuff since this is my first device D:

    @KDA_Wolfie Some are able to set performance at auto/manual in bios.
    Or use a other (3d party) tool for system settings, msi afterburner for example !

    Hi @Rokebo73,

    I have an update. So it seems the game wont crash if:

    1. Using armory crate but not using the "turbo" profile

    2. No armory crate installed

    So it seems you were right, the problem could be the existence of armory crate.

    However, without the armory crate, the game doesn't run as smooth. 

    But yeah, whatever, I think at this point it's an issue with the game itself because running other games with the "turbo" profile doesn't seem to crash.
