@CopperDragonBF did firewall or any other security program need to give BF2042 clearance / acces to the IE maybe ? Could you check that ? Inform us please !

Oooookkkk so the only time my firewall has even ticked is when I first installed the game, asking for network permissions. I just checked the list of allowed apps and 2042 is on there FOUR times. And they are pairs of these pathways linked

      I have done that at least half a dozen times at this point.
