- @ncRisee RAM frequency is really important in this problem. Go to my topic and look for RAM OC instruction, If it helps (I'm sure it will 😁) please write comment under my topic. Thanks 😊

Try this fix. In console type "Render.DynamicResolutionMaxStepCount 1".
It supposedly improves fps.
- @SystemicProgress this is the same setting as the dynamic resolution scale refresh rate target, so 1. it doesnt do anything without turning on dynamic resolution scale, 2. you can just do it in the in-game settings, and 3. it doesnt do anything with the bad performance due to cpu bottlenecks, since resolution only affects the gpu, and more gpu load wont offload cpu-only tasks from the cpu, which are overstressing the cpu due to 128 players and bad optimization.
see here the main thread on this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/BF2042-CPU-Running-At-100-Constantly-For-No-Reason/td-p/10949996 @sjeezy101 I probably know how to help you. To make sure what cause problem join 128 players server and type in console perfoverlay.drawfps 1 it will show you CPU FPS and GPU FPS so you gonna know which PC part of your PC struggle. I'm 100% sure it's your CPU and RAM fault (and bad optimalisation of course).
I write tutorial how to make game run better, here is the link
Just to let you know, I'm playing on i7-6700k and GTX 1080Ti and my game works amazing. Check my post and if it helps you write a comment under my post, thanks 😊

This is my system:
Ryzen 9 5900x cpu
32bg ddr4 3200
WD Black 1tb ssd m.2
Asus Tuf Radeon 6900xt 12gb vram
Asus Tuf x570-pro MB
Windows 11
Internet speed 965mps down and 978mps up
Resize Bar Enabled
The demo ran great for me, but the full release not so much. After install runs like a champ, like 120fps to 144fps. take a break and come back, and thats when it falls apart. Starts stuttering so like really bad to the point it looks like rubber banding. In the game I can see thatr the gpu usage drops from 50% to 0% then back up over and over again. Cpu usage stays around 20% to 30% with clock speeds of 4.7 GHz. No other games plays this way for me, Apex runs 144 locked and smooth as butter as well as starwars and Titanfall. This seems to be a AMD thing as I see so many AMD owners feeling the pain. Was any time spent on testing this on AMD systems? Does anyone have a fix that works? I've tried every fix on youtube with no luck, and I'm tired of redownloading this game. That seems to be the only way for me to play, uninstall and reinstall. As long as I don't stop, I can game all night and it runs very well. Hope someone knows how to help me, also enabling Direct x 12 makes it worst.
3200 is not enough?
@ncRiseeDepend if it's real frequency or the one that was written on the box and amount of RAM sticks.
Generally 3200MHz is enough for me, also I'm playing on i7-6700k and GTX 1080 Ti and I have 75fps most of the time with drops to 35fps and rises to 105fps, but even that "jumping" doesn't make game laggy.
Can you download CPU-Z and show me "Memory" tab screenshot?- DaveTheBrave_USA4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@HeLLoEthnic wrote:GPU USAGE BETWEEN %50-70 IN THE GAME, BUT IN THE LOBBY IT'S %99
WHY IS THAT
Before the last update I had high GPU and CPU usage along with high FPS. I applied the last update and the newest Nvidia driver update the same day and I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Now my processor usages are low, FPS is very low and there is occasional artifacting. Other than this game I have no other PC or game problems.

@BrutalBipedalFeel free to give it a try... or not. Your choice like the red or blue pill. Also I did try this and it made zero difference. Thanks for sharing, it is appreciated.
Title says it all.
First time starting up the game today after the new update and CPU fps are only sitting in the red numbers anymore.
Also mouse aiming is INCREDIBLY SLUGGISH peaking sometimes in a delay of about 2 seconds before moving around.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
