I have a RTX 3070 and intel i711700 and game runs like crap. When I played early access open beta I had 140 FPS, I now have 60-80 FPS on lowest graphics... fix ASAP!

I Have an RTX 3070
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 16GB RAM
and the FPS is just awful 45-59 ... using nvidia DLSS (quality)
And Lowering Graphics settings just make it worse! so do changing resoultion
when will it get fixed??I have the following specs:
i9-10850K, 32 GB Ram using 2 sticks of 16 GB ram in dual channel, 3080TI, 1440P @165 hz and gsync, 2 TB SSD drive, Windows 10, latest NVIDIA drivers 496.84,
I have very bad performance in a lot of the larger maps in conquest or breakthrough. I can go from 80 FPS and drop to 20 FPs and it stutters and it completely random. I am lucky if I can get to 90 FPS. Most times I am getting 60-80 FPS I notice my CPU Utilization hovers around 40-50% while my GPU only 60-70%
I had none of these issues with Battlefield 5, and can max out every single setting in Battlefield 5 and get 100-130 FPS on average with no stutters. In Battlefieled 5 I get 30% cpu and 98% GPU utilization
I have no issues with any other game just this one, any idea when this will be fixed? I see people with lower specs having better performance then me.
- @Zendar30 Also check in task manager your memory usage. I have 32 gigs and after a few games i'm at over 62% usage. After 3 rounds I leave game and restart game to clear memory usage. BF1 had the same memory leak when it came out.
@Zendar30 RAM speed is also important. I have 16GB RAM 2133MHz divided by two so one RAM stick have 1066.5MHz speed. I overclock my RAM to 1600Mhz each and now I can enjoy game with 0 lags

Im posting this for a friend to ask for help. His problem is with the FPS of Battlefield 2042, I told him to do the command perfoverlay.drawfps 1. And he showed me that CPU shows in red and 10-40 fps (I guess)
His Specs:
I7 8700k
GTX 1080Ti
32GB Ram
We checked the temps when he is playing and the max temp is 65C.
Update the BIOS and drivers but still the same low fps by the CPU.@plfrost22 this is the memory I have installed using XMP: 32 GB Ram DDR4-3200 CL16 , is that not fast enough?

So for the most part I get 60-80 FPS and it smooth, sometimes I get as high as 90, but most times average is 60-80. I still feel 60-80 is low especailly compared to Battlefield 5 since IMO that graphic engine looks way better then 2042 and I have it at max settings.
The biggest issue is mostly when it stutters and I see my FPS drop down as low as 22 FPS for a few second is when I get the stutter
@joebonkers I will take a look at my memory usage next time I play and see I have not been paying that much attention figuring 32 GB should be plenty

- @Zendar30 I don't have that much info about others players setups, I can not tell you how it works correctly. For me overclocking my 16GB RAM from 2133MHz to 3200MHz works incredible amazing, so I think your RAM frequency is enough to play without any fps drop even if it happens like every 2 minutes. But you know.... it's Buggfield 20-42 fps so maybe it's not enough (especially if you play on high/ultra settings) to avoid fps drop. What I can suggest is oc your ram just a bit and see if it makes any difference, the second option is to play on lower graphic settings. I play on low settings in every multiplayer game for better visibility, more fps and to avoid fps drop to lower then 150fps (or 60fps if the game is demanding), I just set textures and some others options to high so game not gonna look like shi.... poo.
Another thing you can do with memory usage is to type in console (~) command "PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1" so you can see what cause the problem, CPU or GPU. I don't know exactly how this command calculating frames, as I understand by looking at it, it shows separately amount of fps your CPU and GPU generating, so you will see exactly what is going on with frames. It shouldn't be GPU fault, so probably you will notice drop fps on GPU line, that can mean it's CPU or RAM fault (I know, it sounds stupid but that's how it works).
And last thing, you can use task manager to see usage of your components, but for more accurate info I recommend to use NZXT Cam software.
Let us know what's going and we will find a solution to fix your problem hopefully 😉 Same problem here. The performance of the game is very low. It's just impossible to play. If we will consider netcode/server problems, the game feels like crap... for almost 100 EURO. That's ridiculous and disrespectful to EA/DICE clients.
