Portal Servers Stuck

I have a portal server that is stuck. I can't shut it down and I can't host another experience until it is.

It consistently displays in my active hosted experience regardless of how I try to shut it down.

I try shutting it down from the host menu and it gives me an undefined error. I also cannot join the server from the host menu, I receive an unauthorized role error.

The only way I can actually join the server is to search it from the portal server list. Once I have logged in I have admin rights like I should. If I try to shut the server down, it tells me it's closed and all players were disconnected.

However, the server remains active and does not actually shut down. It's still displayed in my host menu as active, and is still joinable.

I need to be able to shut this down in order to host another experience.

Can someone please help me with this ASAP?

May have found a fix. for days i was able to hit join for the stuck server which would then close and allow me to start a new one. today it didnt. i tried a lot of things and eventually opened the EA app, opened the game page, hit manage then repair. after the repair was complete everyone was back to normal. not sure if this solves the problem for good or if it will continue. will update if necessary

the "Fix" for this bug on BF2042 Xbox One seems to be just waiting it out for a few hours
Edit: it seems that when you take down the portal server in game through admin and try to join server it debugs itself with an error to join and makes it go back to host selection mode

this has nothing to do with your local game. this is a server based issue. the fix is for EA to fix it, which they to don't even seem to even care enough to respond anymore

so i guess like many other bugs in this game it will never be fixed

just testing it out with portal vs bots i found that if i leave game after a match instead of continuing to next map, the problem persists and only way to get things back to normal is "repair" in ea app under the title and manage. if i select "start" then "take down" then when i go to portal again the server is still up but when i hit join it brings me back to my portal experiences and i can select another. obviously cant take down a server that isnt yours or without kicking everyone out if it is but for bots this "works". currently thats the only thing i can play reliably most of the time as im also dealing with the underground vehicle bug

EA_Rtas EA_Universa EA_Edu10 more days. No Update. Is this ever even going to be addressed? If its not could you at least let us know something. It takes just as long for you to post on here as it does me, so really not sure why nothing is being answered.

I got this issue from 2025 Sept 5th, Host a portal cannot take down, from inside server admin and outside portal menu, this is just frustrating...

Guys, server will auto take down in 48 hrs, just try to click once awhile, no big issue already.
