Portal: Teleport Feature Fails To Work

Summarize your bug The teleport feature fails to work on multiple maps and modes. TDM Breakaway - Small Breakaway - Medium Battle of the Bulge - Small Valparaiso - Small Renewal - Medium Vehicle TDM Stranded - Medium Conquest Arica Harbor - Small Manifest - Medium
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a new experience with one of the maps and modes listed with the issue. Create a new rule so when a player deploys to teleport them to a valid position. Run the experience and It will fail to teleport the players and an error will appear in the log: "FAILED TO TELEPORT, DUE TO INVALID OR OUT OF BOUNDS TELEPORT LOCATION."
What happens when the bug occurs? The player will not be teleported. An error is added to the log "FAILED TO TELEPORT, DUE TO INVALID OR OUT OF BOUNDS TELEPORT LOCATION."
What should be happening instead? The player should be teleported to the specified location without any errors

There are several maps in Portal where the Teleport function does not work at all. The maps affected are only on certain sizes and only in certain game modes. I have compiled a list of the affected maps and the related size and game mode:

Team Deathmatch:
Breakaway - Small
Breakaway - Medium
Battle of the Bulge - Small
Valparaiso - Small
Renewal - Medium

Vehicle Team Deathmatch:
Stranded - Medium

Conquest:
Arica Harbor - Small
Manifest - Medium

The easiest way to replicate the issue is to create an experience with the above maps and modes with the sizes mentioned. Then have a "OnPlayerDeployed" rule and teleport the player to a valid location. For my testing I teleported 100 up from their current location. When the teleport fails, the player will not be teleported. An error is added to the log "FAILED TO TELEPORT, DUE TO INVALID OR OUT OF BOUNDS TELEPORT LOCATION."

This is affecting all players. Hopefully this can be picked up and looked at as it's limiting what maps we can build experiences for.

  • @andy6170 Yup, I mentioned this too.
    Teleport refuses to work on ground superiority since they had issues with changes not saving on portal servers.

    I’m using the exact same code as I use on other portal servers I’ve made and it just won’t work.

    It still doesn’t work.
    I mentioned this in the “save was not successful” thread.

    No response.

    The teleport code I have in my other servers works.
    It’s code that I’ve had in those servers for a while now.
    But since the small update before the 3.2 update, any teleport code I try to add to a server doesn’t seem to work. And it’s the exact same code that I have in my other servers.

    It’s odd.

  • @andy6170 teleport doesn’t work on flashpoint map either, even though I’m using the teleport code block in exactly the same way as before.
    Teleport works on other maps in rotation.
    As soon as flashpoint comes round, teleport doesn’t work.
