I use usb all the time to play games, Here's a slow motion test I recorded, all at 60hz in the game @EA_Atic

Are you playing the ps4 version on ps5, because if so then this issue is normal and you should live with.
The ps5 version has very small lag thanks to the low latency feature supported by ps5 consoles and the HDMI 2.1, that you can‘t really notice while playing, maybe a solution for you would be:
1- to check your screen configuration and put the input lag to the lowest available option, or switch to game mode if you don‘t have input lag option in your TV.
2- Update the firmware of your controller may fix the issue if it‘s a controller issue.
For me I‘m using a fiber optic hdmi 2.1 cable on LG OLED TV, which give me the choice to set the input lag to boost and as a result the input lag until everything is being rendered on the screen is less than 10 ms and this is not noticeable even with 240fps slow motion video, you should go to 960fps slow motion to start seeing the first difference or what called small lag, if you have a very strong sight.
Try this and I hope that will help you out.
Regards- 3 years ago@Hard_Attack_HD What I want to say is that I don't have this problem when playing COD with the same monitor. I think this problem has little to do with whether I use hdmi2.1 or not,I use the ps5 version of the game, please use the pc and ps5 to compare, there is really a big difference,my link is delay contrast
- 3 years ago@EA_Atic Keep an eye out for this, perhaps because of the "Vsync" feature, which causes the ps5 version of BF2042 to have a huge input lag

It shows you info about games and hardware !
Cheers
- 3 years ago@EA_Atic I feel the problem is that the BF2042 forces players to turn on Vsync, which is good for the graphics, but the problem is that there is a significant lag in the action. I wish they would let players choose whether to turn on Vsync or not

@TIME2K_CN Maybe if they consider enabling VRR for playstation 5 consoles will make the game benefit from the this technology and make it more responsive and let the players have higher fps in the game. But unfoutuently the core of the game is broken and instabil while variable refresh rate turned on and if they would do so the game would be extremely instable and may damage the consoles, because in my opinion it would be the same issue like on PC will max out the cpu, gpu of the consoles.
- 3 years ago@Hard_Attack_HD Too bad, I hear you say that, I have no expectations of BF
- creepnpeep3 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_Atic Several studies have been conducted that show there is next to zero difference in input times when playing wired or wireless.
- 3 years ago@creepnpeep Your so-called research shows that my facts are weak

This is a slow motion video comparing COD- creepnpeep3 years agoSeasoned Ace@TIME2K_CN MY research?
Wasn’t my research.
And I don’t know what you’re getting at.
I was basically saying to Atic that playing wired or wireless makes basically no difference.
Atic was implying that playing wireless May be causing input lag.
