Rao Can't Hack through large open-spaced gaps in fences [Video Attached]

Yes, I've went ahead and uploaded to YouTube, the link is pasted below. In the video I show 4 examples of the issue. Please let me know if this is actually an issue or a mechanic that's working as intended.
