Re: 1FPS all the time

@Rokebo73 Well, I've restarted my system with only monitor, keyboard, mouse and sound speakers no microphone headset and so one. I've done clean boot, disabled all the processes and in task manager disabled all apps and programs.

Launched origin as administrator and BF2042 same as administrator

Still doesnt work=(

@npomuBBcex Ah ok ! Did ya try to do a repair / reinstall windows ?
Repair Install Windows, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, is the most stable method to advance to the latest version, and solves most problems. Tutorial here: https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/fix-windows-10-repair-install

if there are still issues, please update post.
Also inform us about brand / typ --->>> system / memory you got !

    Cheers
  • @Rokebo73 First of all i want to say thank you for your answers.

    Unfortunately and advice hadn't worked

    My specs:

    Windows 10 PRO

Game Ready Driver Ver: 527.56 (the latest)

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor 3.20 GHz

    GPU: GTX 1060 6 gb

    Ram: 2x G Skill F4-3000C15-8GVGB

Mainboard: MSI B350 PC Mate (MS-7A34)

Storage: 2x SSD ADATA SU900 and HDD ST2000DM006-2DM164

What i've already done to solve the problem:

Deleting cache, reinstalling game, changing the game location to another ssd, starting from folder, starting BF2042 as admin and origin as admin, launch BF2042 with compatibility Win8, verifying integrity of game files, restarting pc and opening nothing but the game after restarting, repair install windows, make the user.cfg file, changing PROFILESAVE to run DX12 and to stop running DX12, changed DNS ports, made exceptions for firewall, increased pagefile to 4096 on ssd and hdd

    Still looking for solution....

@npomuBBcex  you did a cleanboot , and then tested game ?
Make sure youre system is using minimal resources by other hardware and software !

You could check for Windows services safe to disable at google (25 services)
Also check for BF2042 MAX FPS SETTINGS at google !

Let me know if it fixed anything for you ?!

  • I guess it is time for a full reinstall of your operating system, something is way off.... You didn't enable HPET in the bios or the OS ?

Grab the latest windows 10 Home version, Nvidia driver and install Steam and Battlefield... no chipset drivers or other software

Test and play it.. if it is good, slowly install other programs like your stream software.

There must be somehwere a conflict

do you still have the problem? I have it too

  • I used to play the game without issues when it released, last time it properly worked was a few months ago. I downloaded the latest version of the game last week & had the same issue (1fps). It's been 3 days now that I've been trying to resolve the issues. I tried literally everything you can think of, no succes. If anyone ever finds a solution let me know

@djtalm  i see ya got this motherboard:
    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z690-EDGE-WIFI-DDR4/support#bios

Update youre bios, read the howto <-- important

Did also check for the memory partnumber ya got installed at youre motherboard.
I did check for memory thats compatible with the MEMORY BY 12TH GEN K SERIES

The partnumber: F4-5066C20-8GTZR is not in this QVL !
Thats does not say it will not run/work , but no guarantee till ya test it !

goto https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z690-EDGE-WIFI-DDR4/support#mem and select the MEMORY BY 12TH GEN K SERIES button
Now sort by VENDOR and goto page 40 till .45, those pages display gskill memory partnumbers !

This could be a and/and issues, no update bios and probarly no compatible memory !
BUT its possible bios update improves memory compatibilty for the mem you got installed <-- but thats not for sure !

check what updated bios is doing for ya , keep us up to date please !!

    Cheers

After bios update , check for windows updates then run the chip set update:

update youre chipset:, url is from mb site https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/mb/intel_chipset_600_700.zip

then to make sure all system/software drivers are update do this:

    SYSTEM DRIVERS AND CHIPSET UPDATE

Check the Youtube movie how to install , download and update ALL drivers.
    https://youtu.be/6UpzenfVOAA
Open the web browser and enter url: https:\\www.drivereasy.com
Click at Driver Update Tool in the upper bar and select Download Free Version.
Click at the green button with the text DOWNLOAD DRIVER EASY NOW.
When tool is downloaded select the file and run.
    Install Driver Easy Tool.

Some drivers updates need to reboot your system, reboot system when needed,
continue using Driver Easy untill 'ALL' drivers are updated.
This free version allows only 1 download and 1 update at once.
    Reboot your system

    @djtalm try this:
disable Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770 in BIOS please !
Disconnect all hardware , only keep 1 mouse, 1 keyboard and 1 headset connected to youre computer. Also disconnect youre 2nd monitor (just to test if it is hardware related !!)

    Then follow instruction below:
    Memory+Motherboard+bios check part specs

Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.

*Of course this is at everyone's own risk. Temporarily disabling the integrated (on-board) Intel HD graphics chip can work as a workaround, until the actual cause of the issue has been found. The exact cause of the issue doesn't have to be the Nvidia drivers, but other drivers (like the CPU) can also give issues.
