The last couple of days(since Friday 2nd Dec) the hit reg, latency, stutter issue seem mostly gone for my part.
In general somethings I’ve noticed helped earlier was to close/kill all peripheral software for mouse, headset or rgb programs running before I launch BF2042
I got Razor software and this creates a lot of extra stuttering/lag if running in the background
Also disable/uninstall overlays(nvidida or origin) and don’t run AB
sett mouse to 125 polling rate as higher polling rate increase mouse lag. I got a mouse capable of 8k polling rate and when I got that high rate the mouse latency is just crazy, probably 200ms or more
It also seems hit reg was more consistent with a lower polling rate
Check which nvidia driver you use, if you got a nvidia gpu, as some of the drivers are know for beeing bugged and creating stuttering/crash issues
I think I use the 526.98 version, the 525. was causing additional issues stuttering/crash for my setup
Don’t install nvidia experiance but only the driver, use ddu and do a clean install
Be sure to set up nvidia control panel for most perf.
I disable mostly everything, except optimization, core and thread stuff, and set most perf. for textures and power
Check your network and reset your router
Use http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest to check for bufferbloat
If you don’t get at least A rating, try to disable autotuning by
At the command(run as admin) prompt, type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
check dslreport again, if you want autotuning just change to =normal
Disable all win anti vir while playing and postpone win update
Run bf2042 as admin
