sounds like it could be something to do with the SSD.
- have you always had this problem with bf2042?
- do you have the same issue with other games?
- maybe windows has updated and now you may need an updated SSD driver from the manufacturer, this happened to Samsung 970 evo’s.
- have you tested the speed of transferring files from the SSD to another drive?
