Re: BF2042.exe memory corruption crashes

Thanks @ATCleeghoofd-

Just updated the BIOS to the 1402; I've restored the XMP profile with the default timings and voltage settings ... later I'll try to make a test directly using the game. Memtest is ok with XMP turned on. In case of further crashes I'll try to tune the VCCSA voltage. Default XMP profile uses these:

Voltage Values
CPU Core 1.328 V
CPU VID 1.385 V
+3.3 V 3.264 V
+5 V 4.960 V
+12 V 12.000 V
+3.3 V Standby 3.360 V
VBAT Battery 3.184 V
DIMM 1.344 V
VCCIO 1.056 V
VCCIO2 1.168 V
VCCSA 1.136 V
GPU Core 0.756 V

No I'm not using a quad channel kit, I've 2 16gb kit bought separately, so the memory controller is set in dual channel mode.

Everything was fine a few months ago before I paused playing for a few months. Then sometime after Season 1 the game crashes itself and even my PC sometimes out of nowhere.

    My specs:

    i9-9900K

    ASUS STRIX RTX 2080 ti

    ASUS Z390-F

    64 GB Crucial Ballistix RAM

    850W bequiet PSU

I have 4x16 GB RAM (set to 3600 MHz). I already tried changing the slots, but that only seemed to work for like ~3 matches. It crashed again while I was playing the 4th match, if I remember correctly.

Edit: After setting the BCLK frequency to 100:133 in BIOS (default was 100:100) it seems to work fine for now. I also set the RAM frequency back to 3600 MHz. Because once you change BCLK, it defaults the RAM frequency. So it is 100:133 at 3600 MHz now.

I shouldn't have to do this. Nobody should have to do this. I don't even really know what it does. And I don't know if it is advisable to do this. But it works... for now.

Edit 2: I changed my mind and instead just set the MHz to auto (which is 2666 MHz in my case) and changed the BCLK frequency back to 100:100.

No crashes so far after 2 weeks of playing.

    Fix your game DICE.
