I downloaded throttlestop and turned the turbo time limit all the way up(make sure you save it so when you open throttlestop you wont have to adjust the slider) and I was able to play multiple games in a row with no blackscreen or freezing issue. Idk if I just had a good night with bf2042 or if this is some sort of bandaid on the problem. I'll test it out more tonight and this weekend. My monitor has its own framerate display, so when a map would be loading the frames would drop down to 10 and  shoot back up to 100+, when the frames drop to 10 that's when the game would freeze.  also my fans rpm would drop when that happens, that's how I always new it was going to freeze. When I have throttlestop with that slider maxed out the frames would drop to 10 but it would push thru it and shoot back up to 100+(normal) and actually load the map and let me play.  Basically what I do is open up throttlestop and then minimize it and then load up bf2042. Yall can try it and let me know. @AOD_gregers05 @Rokebo73 @BuNgLelove69 @Kaptyn027 @Pyro2120 sorry if you are on console.

    @Pyro2120 That's only if you overclock your cpu and turn off other settings. The turbo time limit shouldn't hurt anything by maxing out the slider. I'll do some searching and make sure.

    @Pyro2120Turbo time limit keeps your cpu from throttling due to power. It could raise your temps I think so it would be a good idea to have hwinfo64 installed so you can monitor your temps with throttlestop running and the slider maxed out and do a stress test and make sure your cpu temps are under 90°c. My personal max temp for my cpu and all the cores is 85°c I don't like going higher than that. I have an i5 6600k overclocked to 4.7ghz and my temps are max 83°c air cooled full load stress test. I average 69-75°c while playing bf2042. the i5 6600k max TDP(watts) is 95.0w..when  stress test my cpu will average 82-84watts

    @ANG3LxDUSTi had only once Blackscreen, and an hour later i did get directx / device error remove.
    But i pretty sure i got issue with different brands/vendors of ARBG/RGB software installed (known and unknown).
    Deleted all the ARGB/RGB software (even the hidden/silent sh.it) and it solved my issues.
    Got no cpu/gpu/mem/oc issues at all , i never did (till this argb/rgb software messed up my system lol)

    @Rokebo73 Are you using throttlestop? I don't have any ARGB/RGB. My overclock is not an issue either. Usually directx erros are from gpu overclock. I don't get directx erros

    @ANG3LxDUSTno i dont. Blackscreen and Directx or device removed , could also be your MEM ! My younger brother used MEM that wasnt supported for his MB , did run other games , but at BF2042 he had all those errors !
    Didnt OC mem nothing , but just wasnt compatible with his board, maybe check website from your motherboard and see if your MEM is in the SUPPORT MEM LIST

    And remembert what i said , he got black screen, qtd no error, directx errors and device removed error <-- all by NOT supported mem at his Motherboard !
    He just got a whole new system , and got sh.it from day 1, after 2 weeks in a row with issues he did buy the correct MEM , all issues are history 

    !!!!

    @Rokebo73 Oh well I'm not having any issues with throttlestop running. And my overclocks are fine. No need to adjust your stuff for one faulty product. I play a bunch of games with zero issues.

    @ANG3LxDUST yeah , but a new system with ddr5 memory need to run also well , without issues.
    But if ya got issues from day 1 with bf2042 , then there is something wrong !

    And he fixed it just by getting new - supported mem, and able to OC his system now Wink

    @Rokebo73I never had issues with bf2042 from day one...

    issues didn't start till July when I re installed the game. I played early access till late December early January with NO PROBLEMS I've said this like a thousand * times. You people don't read at all

    @Rokebo73 Here's a simple example. If I have 10 games and 1 of them doesn't work, would I buy new hardware to fix the problem?

    First of all I have to commend you for keeping up the fight in multiple threads regarding this issue.  Great work!

    1. Same issue for me since Season 1 update prior to having zero iissues after initial release.  EA online have been no help.  I've tried everything including two hard reinstalls and everything else mentioned everywhere else.  You know it 😉

    2. I have an i5-6600k / 3060ti gpu with 16gb of ram = I can play games like Resident Evil Village,  Days Gone, Doom Eternal and Chernobylite on ultra settings with raytrace enabled no problems

    3. Do you overclock your CPU while using Throttestop or run it at stock?

    4. I'll give Throttlestop a crack next weekend.  Let us know if you hit the Freeze Wall Of Death in the meantime

    @_Manikk_1gotta keep fighting lol. No I don't use throttlestop for overclocking I only use it for the turbo time limit , I overclock thru my BIOS.. i havent had a chance to keep playing been busy this weekend

    @Pyro2120 open throttlestop click on TPL then you should see power limit controls make sure the "LOCK" box is unchecked then move the slider up all the way then click apply then save. maybe do a stress test after that make sure your temps are ok

    Rgr that.  Thanks for the heads up.  I had a good day last Saturday and after a few hours it finally started freezing every 1-2 games and I gave up.

    I play less frequently these days.  If I have a good run I play but when the freezing cycle starts I bail out.  Even rebooting the PC doesn't reset the problem.

    Once the one 1-3 game freeze cycle starts it remains.

    I rarely have good days like Saturday

    @_Manikk_1 i love how when i try something new like download throttlestop it works for a long period of time then go back to freezing on map loading. I guess people have been having these types of issues since update 1.1. all i know is the game wouldnt freeze or black screen when it first came out.

    how many WATT does your PSU deliver people ?
    Is it there maybe a lot of dust in PSU and at PSU fan ? PSU to hot ? or does it not deliver enough power ?

    @Rokebo73 i claim it was a 1080 / 1080 ti problem which is wrong there are people with better cards having the issue. youve claimed I had the issue since release which is wrong. You have tried to say multiple people dont know how to buy the right ram for the motherboard they have which again is wrong. just stop. dust isnt going to affect one game out of 10.

    Started on 09/13/2022, after the game was updated.

    The round ends, the screen shows the best players, then the squad (and not always, but instead of characters, large rotating loading icons), then the progress of the season, and then a black screen. A new round does not start, the menu does not exit. You must close the game window and start the game again.

    Game on SSD. The game files have been verified. Cleared the cache in the game folder. I installed the drivers for the video card WHQL:516.94 dated August 9, although it was the same on the previous version. Windows 10. GTX 1070. Intel Core i7 4770K.
