Re: Crashing on launch with DirectX Error

Sorry for not following up on this! The first solution fixed the problem for me. More specifically, I noticed that when I set up the new rig, windows restored a bunch of files from OneDrive, including cache files and such from BF 2042 since those are in the Documents folder. I deleted all of that and restarted the game and it worked for me.

Also, I disabled the battlefield folder in Documents from getting backed up by OneDrive to hopefully prevent this issue in the future.

@Rokebo73 hi ye my game crash ince one day with my new PC, i was playing bf2042 with my old config ( rtx2080ti, i9 9900K ) no problem, it's the only game i crash.

i have this motherboard on DDR5, i was unable to account control but i took a capture, thank's for a answer guy's 

yes did it but my game crash with a same error message, my bios is already update,

i want to put the game on low but in FOV it's a bit complicated to play below 70 at one fps

@toroch88  Can you do a quick test with putting all settings on ultra except terrain and add it as high instead and see if that helps.

Thank's for a answer, i'm testing with all settings on ultra expect terrain, my game crash again. I can play game with all settings on low and FOV 85 on a 4 hour, for me this problem come a driver and BF2024, i playing a game with I9 9900K and RTX 2080TI no problem, it's not possible to concience only with I9 12900k and RTX 4080 that to play must not exceed ultra and FOV 90 to not crash, Sorry for my English guy's.

This could be the problem for your system/game crashes !
best way to make sure memory isnt making any issues, is to buy memory thats in the QVL !
Check the url for compatible memory with your CPU i9-12900K

ps keep in mind that terrain detail ingame at ULTRA is bugged and probarly FOV also !
But those Dirextx errors with GPU. is probarly related to the wrong memory thats in youre system at this moment 😉

I changed my RAM and my problem is solved ! Thank you so much guy's for your help, i testing BF2042 with ultra settings and FOV max ( 105 ), i had no problem.

It constantly throws a directx error, every 5-10 minutes and a constant crash. I did a clean installation of Windows, all drivers are installed, I tried and put everything on ultra and everything on minimum, nothing helps. Please help me solve the problem.

 PS could you do this please:

Motherboard / Bios / Memory check part specs

Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Now enter this command: (its just 1 LONG command !)

wmic /output:C:\mb_mem_bios_info.txt memorychip list full&wmic /append:C:\mb_mem_bios_info.txt baseboard get product, Manufacturer&wmic /append:C:\mb_mem_bios_info.txt bios get smbiosbiosversion

it will write/save C:\mb_mem_bios_info.txt file to youre C: drive !

My system is not overclocked, RAM is compatible with my motherboard.  Video card drivers new 528.02.  In the Nvidia control panel, in the power management mode, the maximum performance is set, GPU scheduling is disabled in the graphics settings, in the game itself, as I wrote earlier, I tried to set all the parameters to ultra, both high and medium and low, still gives an error.  Nvidia, EA, Steam overlays are disabled.  I can not solve the problem with departures.

I did check for youre memory , but i don not see this PartNumber=F4-3600C18-8GTZN in the list below !
Only thing you could do now is , check/test each ram module apart from each other to check if one is faulty !
So get all out , and just leave 1 module in , normaly at memory port A2 (check manual for exact settings for a single ram module).

BUT , the partnumber is not in the list , so i see as its not compatible ! And this could cause those GPU / DIRECTx errors !
