Re: How do I completely disable controller on PC for BF2042?

@AOD_moose004 I am having the same problem, it shows the three bars instead of holding escape to clear bindings for my mouse. I do not own a HOTAS or have a controller plugged since I do not use it for my PC at all. Same issue still, trying to remap mouse binding but it thinks I'm using a joystick which is impossible in my case, so this issue isn't because of that to narrow it down further. I can rebind my keystrokes just not my mouse, it'll default to Mouse 5 instead which is when I hit cancel, I can however revert to default settings, this is for the pilot keybind section, I haven't tried for infantry to see if this issue is persistent.

    @JEDIMASTERAimX figured it out. At least on my computer. Close battlefield 2042 and search up 'PROFSAVE' in your PC it'll show 1 maybe 2 documents under 'profsave_profile' in for battlefield 2042. Delete them and restart the game. It should allow you to bind mouse and keyboard buttons without that 3 bar controller issue showing up anymore.

    @Rocketman3two1 This does not work for me or many others I've seen. It does the identical things after performing these troubleshooting steps unfortunately.

    @LeonUbernidus That's wack af I only had to deal with this for a few hours I hope something gets fixed for y'all. Maybe something to do with the client you used to download the game at this point.

    Same issue but fixed with
    delete/ clear cache folder in My Documents-->Battlefield 2042 > Chache. 

    do i without connected Xbox controller

    After trying basically all of the suggested fixes on this topic, deleting the cache folder in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Battlefield 2042 finally fixed it for me. Hope this helps someone.

    @berSirK Thanks man, that did it for me too. After deleting the cache and my profsave file, I was able to go back into the game and remove all the controller keybinds.

    Sadly this is just temporary, after a match the problem comes back.

    By someone that have x56 hotas...

    I just installed a new computer. First I installed Star Citizen and played a lot with my X56. After now two weeks, I started my new PC this morning, installed BF 2042, and it was working perfectly.

    After that, I played Star Citizen again, endet it and startet BF 2042 again, and all the same mistakes again like with my old computer. I resetted the paramateres to default, same mistake. I deinstalled the game, installed again, same mistake. I didn't play the games for some weeks, but it seems, the related Devs of the game don't care about it. Hope, I can get refund, or not?
