Re: Unable to load persistence data 125012S

@LeToastyy I switched from Xbox to PC and got this error so much I couldn't play on PC. Nothing seemed to help. I went so far as testing my ethernet cable with a tester from work, with and without VPN, wireless, DNS changes, cell hotspot, and many, many reboots, repairs etc....

I thought it was fixed when I unlinked my Xbox/EA account, but no. It only fixed it for almost two weeks. Now I bought this broken game twice. I only play with my Xbox buddies, so turning off crossplay is unacceptable. All of the EA responses are the usual it's a your problem, not on our end. Very, very frustrating!!!

Do you get the same error when trying to join/host a server by yourself?

  • @LeToastyyBefore trying the host/join server thing, an Xbox buddy(in FL) joined my party, and that's when the error started. Then, I tried the host/join solo unsuccessfully. Only a few minutes later, I joined a different Xbox buddy's(in NJ) party, and it worked. This is the second time it failed while trying to join a round with the player from FL. Strange. Regional server sync issue or something? Frustrating anyway.

I think this all stems from cross play. Since this only ever happens to me when trying to play with any friends from other platforms.

Ive only ever been able to connect to or host servers when either by myself or with another PC player. The only exception in that case is when I first try to join or host a server with someone in my party from another platform, then I won’t be able to connect to any server at all regardless.

I believe this specific error has something to do with the EA servers and how the cross play handles the different platforms. It could also be a regional server sync issue as well but ultimately I believe it’s the cross platform system they’re using that’s just incapable of reliably handling the traffic and making sure it all goes to the right place at the end. I don’t know much about how the traffic is handled but a wild guess would be that the game is trying to send both platforms to the same place and maybe that’s not right, if an Xbox and PC player try to join a server together maybe the PC player is getting sent through the same path as the Xbox player and then the connection fails because it’s trying to pull data from Xbox network rather than EA.

That explanation might be really poor so hopefully my point is understandable but that’s what I think.
