Re: When deployed, game automatically fires weapon and does not stop until ammo has
@EA_Atic Hey, Sorry. I know I sound like an entitled 12 year old who is just whining. I thought there might be some hope for resolving this issue when I found this post. I've been trying to keep it at the top of the bug reports hoping someone with technical knowledge might be able to point me in the right direction or even better would be clearing this bug from the game.
Some nitty gritty of my rig-
not sure how relevant hardware specs are, but here they are
Intel i9 9900kf
32GB G-skill @ 3200 w/ xmp
RTX 3090
Windows 10 Pro V 10.0.19043 Build 19043

Ok, so yes, my windows is way out of date, but this is intentional. I lament Windows automatic update, So I edited my registry to break it into pieces. It's a wonderful thing to have a consistent windows experience, and not have to worry about an update breaking my computer. This is the longest I've ever gone without needing to reset my computer because of an update. lol
So I pray that you don't tell me to update my computer.
This is a weird bug, the original poster hit it right on the head with their description.
I load into a match and once I spawn, my weapon will fire. It's like left click is being held down. If it's a sniper, it shoots once, I'll swap to my pistol and it will do the same. If I have an automatic weapon it will fire until empty.
If I pause the game, and unpause it will repeat the same cycle.
I didn't even notice I couldn't run or reload until I read this post. didn't make it that far before I ALT+F4'ed that ish lol
That's pretty much the deal. The game work flawlessly when it was released, and I've tried it here and there without issue. I went A LONG TIME without playing. Last time I played was before season 1, so this issue could have been around for while.
Any ideas for me to try? Specifically anything that doesn't require fixing my updates or resetting would be great.
I have done a clean install of the game, and deleted the game settings in my document folder. haven't dug around to see if there is anything hidden in app data yet, haven't even thought of it till now.
I don't have any issue even closely resembling this on ANY other game. I've just been messing around in BF4 lately. Probably going to reinstall BF1, as it's my third favorite Battlefield. lol
My laptop doesn't have this issue, not surprised.
Windows 11, fully updated 😞
Ryzen 7 5800h
RTX 3070
16GB RAM
Thanks for your time.
