Before this fix my buttons corresponded to different inputs. Xbox controller too, others have used this and it works

Thats a weird issue, but that fixed the mapping problem.
I didnt have Origin Overlay on, but I changed the Controller config in Steam Big Picture, and closed Origin Client and relaunched. Now its working properly.

TY for this, i forgot about the big pic settings in steam! I managed to fix my DS4 with some minor tinkering...

@JarskyPlaysThis was somehow the fix!
I run origin through steam with both overlays and it works with my DS4 controller
