Summarize your bug The game banned me for "cheating," when I didn't even come close to fitting any of the criteria. No background software (since this game runs so poorly), no exploiting, no "boosting" (unless you count the one match of solo I played, against bots that YOU IMPLEMENTED). Other players in "General Discussion" have confirmed the same ban. You have a system flaw. A big one.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Be moderately good at the game and * off bad players who abuse your report system.
What happens when the bug occurs? I'm literally denied what I paid for.
What should be happening instead? I get what I paid for.

Alright, so...I made a thread in "General Discussion" and received enough replies confirming the same "cheating" ban. I'm certain this game will have its share of cheaters, but I'm going to safely assume that a bunch of them didn't get banned by DAY TWO of early access and weirdly decide to congregate on the game's official forum. One of them was even a streamer who got banned live on the first day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWqDY2wNuKg).

You have either a bug or an exploitation flaw in your moderation system, both of which are considerably fatal.

Of all the issues within this game, this one is objectively the most egregious: We are being stripped of what we rightfully own, and paid extra for in order to play early. No game. Gone.

This "zero-tolerance policy" is clearly more of a "zero-oversight policy." You either have an automated system that thoughtlessly bans when a squad of buddies gets crapped on and reports in bulk, or you have a incompetent and trigger-happy (pun intended) staff at the button. Either way, this needs to be at the forefront of issues addressed, and some form of compensation is necessary.

At this point, I'd wager real money that this issue will spread and get worse. Hell, I've already put down over $100.

  • @llOneEyedKingllI was banned November 14 11:37 am est, for "cheating" which is obviously bogus as I did no type of cheating. I appealed it that same day and I received an email today saying that they did a full investigation on my account and they won't be revoking the ban. Vathsala T if you get to read this please do another real investigation, look at my gameplay or whatever.

  • They could care  less I’ve attempted several times for them to undo their accusation of me using aimbot never in the history of the battlefield series have I ever hacked from [GIBROZ]slugnuty to Cpt.Moloxie never have I used a cheat or hack

  • Just to let BF2042 player aware of that you can be banned even without cheating on BF2042.

I was banned on December of last year and since the day I realized that BF2042 staff never cared about my case I started my own research of why the hell I was banned. I have been studying Reverse Engineering and how AntiCheats work... so I ended up with a conclusion.
To hack games you need programs and some of these programs can be tracked by Easy AC and some others antihacks solutions. That seems fair right? Yep kind of... But what they do not tell you is that you can be banned just for having any program labeled as "hack program" on your processes list, does not matter if you are hacking bf2042 or not, if the program was tracked you are busted.
Programs like some debuggers and mostly Cheat Engine. Cheat Engine indeed can be used to reverse engineer games, but most of it users just use it to hack "gold" , "lives", "Experience" , "Skills" on offline games, which is pretty easy. However, if you want to hack a game like BF2042 you need tons of more experience and knowledge than just "type a value and search" to change it later.. to hack a protected game you need to study hard programming, low level programming, assembly, maybe network protocols and so on.

So, what am I trying to say with all this?
If you are just a regular player that have ever used Cheat Engine, or maybe you are a Reverse Engineer student, or you are trying to learn anything that includes debuggers and memory mappers you might be labelled as a Hacker, you doesn´t even have to try to hack BF2042, you just need to have any kind of these programs opened while you open the game... Does not matter if you close it just after you open the game because you were already scanned and your process list was already sent to Easy AntiCheat. That means that you can be banned for an assumption of hacking, they are not even sure that you have hacked, it is just a guess based on a opened program.

I hope this clarify some bans for some unfortunate players out there. I am posting this because EA Games does not give us any reasonable explanation about the Bans and those who were banned without any explanation may find here that this might be your case.

  • Just installed 3 rgb fans with a control hub
Had to plug control hub into the internal USB hub on the motherboard to get lights to work on my brothers computer
He started the game killed 2 people and the game closed and anticheat says unplug usb it detected something suspicious...
banned 2 days for having 3 RGB fans with a light hub with 6 slots.
    This game is so broken!
He Uninstalled. Not worth a steam ban on his account

iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance 120mm PWM Cooling Fan w/ Lighting Node CORE, 3-Pack
I installed this with the RGB controller it comes with. I didnt install any software.  It did driver updates and he just went into game

We played maybe 30 mins before he comes to me and say "I'm banned ". I went and looked for sure hes banned .

I know my brother hes not smart enough to install cheats he comes to me to find his games in file location.  In windows .

I feel bad for him hes been trying to play the game ever since we bought it.

We both sat there watching invisible people with floating guns. Or every match it freezes just before going to main menu . He has to ctrl alt deleted to exit the game . Now hes banned. This game put a sour taste in both our mouths . We both uninstalled disgusting EA can treat people like this !

My brother has a total of 6 hours played. Most of that time was ctrl alt delete to get out every match . Cuz it just black screens . We verified his game multiple times . Black screens are more common after verify.

I have the game and never cheated . I played a total of 16 hours. After seeing my brother getting banned . I'm not dealing with it either so I uninstalled too.. bought battlefield 5 we never played never installed . After this we probably wont install any EA games.
