S6 Patch on EA app: Game takes you back to EA app when trying to play

Hi,

I cant launch the game anymore after the update - it has worked before.

What I did afterwards to resolve:

EA App repair

Cache delete

BF 2042 repair

BF 2042 full reinstall

EA Anticheat tool repair

...

IT always crashed back now to the EA app after showing the season 6 loading rectangle.

CM edit: edited title for clarity.

Accepting as solution for visibility purposes only.

This thread is for EA app players only.

If you're playing via Steam, please go to this thread.

    Hi everyone,

In order for the teams to investigate the issue, we would like to ask you a couple of questions:

    Read this first 👇

    1. Are you seeing the EA anticheat splash screen fully loading up with a white bar? Or does it not fully load? (See image)

    2. Please share an EA app Error Report ID with us and share the Error Reporter ID here in the thread.

    Possible workarounds:

    1. Uninstall a program called "CryptoPro" if you have it installed.

I see that a lot of you have this software installed, which seems to be causing issues with Battlefield 2042 and EA anticheat.

    2. Make sure that Battlefield 2042 and EA anticheat are excluded from any antivirus software and that it's not blocked by the Windows Exploit Protection or Control Flow guard (CFG).

Open your installed antivirus, antimalware, or firewall blocker and make an exclusion for Battlefield 2042.

In addition to that, turn of Control Flow guard (CFG) for Battlefield 2042 in Windows by following these steps:

    1. Open your PC Settings,
    2. Open Windows Security Settings,
    3. Click on "App & Browser control",
    4. Click on "Exploit protection settings",
    5. Click on "Program settings",
    6. Click on "Add program to customize",
    7. Click on "Choose exact file path",
    8. Navigate to where you have installed Battlefield 2042 and click on the 'BF2042.exe' file,
    9. Click on "Open",
    10. Scroll down to Control Flow guard (CFG),
    11. Click on "Override system settings",
    12. Make sure it's switched to the "Off" position,
    13. Click on "Apply".

Thanks to @LandoCaIrissiann for sharing these steps. 🙂

Once we have enough information and details, the teams can start their investigation into the issue.

    Many thanks in advance!

  • Hello all, happens to me too, even with latest patch of the game I still have the same issue, sometimes the splash screen appear for a few seconds then i get "error 20 1053".

Maybe I should install a version of Windows 11 Pro that isn't part of insider preview branch?

    Greetings.

    @EA Leeuw

Ok, first off i have not been able to play since the patch back in Dec 2021. It is now 01 Feb 2024

I have tried everything. everyone has suggested. What are now dead threads. Black screens on start up to BF2042 doesn't launch after Easy Anti Cheat (EA app &
    Origin).

That being said. I have have seen some progress getting pass the anti-cheat screen today. Now i can not get through the BF2024 screen. It stays black, drop off then the EA main page appears. I have a couple of report ID's that you cane choose from: 14dfabbb6003083c , 70ef2435-cec3-4000-8bb3-b46ccc7ddb2d , 56090e16-3959-45bf-a0ba-11e2ca1d9703. The last on is from today 01 Feb 2024. There are other report ID that i don't have but i am sure if you look me up you will see them all.

That being all said. Whatever i did do fix star wars battlefront 2.

The same anti cheat is used for Tom Clancy's  The Division 2. And I have had no problem play that game. Even when i was having issues just getting pass the anti cheat in this game BF2042. So how i don't think you are going to give my money back so. So for the love of god can i get some help from you troubleshooting department. I'm stuck at home until Monday (05 Feb 2024).

The problem is intel driver. Update the intel graphics driver on intel website but win 11 takes it back to older version with windows update. So you need to disable windows update too. Once you update the mainboard graphic card the game will start.

  • I have the same issue and I can´t fix it. I cannot play since December. This sucks. I play it directly from EA App.

I am going to lock this thread as we've already been in S7 for some time.

If you continue to experience this issue, please create a new thread.
