Security Violation - qcamain10x64.sys

Hello,

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been completely unable to launch Battlefield 2042 due to this Security Violation error closing the game after 2-3 minutes of playing.
\

The driver in question that it is throwing an error about is my ethernet and wireless lan driver. I cannot disable these as it would make playing the game impossible.

I have tried:

  • Reinstalling the drivers
  • Updating the drivers
  • Disabling the lan and wireless lan separately (which wont do much good if I can't connect to the servers...)
  • Updating EA's anticheat
  • Removing EA's anticheat and completely reinstalling it
  • Replacing the drivers entirely with different ones. Still errors out, and made it impossible to launch.
  • Updating graphics card drivers (just incase)
  • Ensuring Secure Boot is enabled (I recently noticed it was now a requirement. I have always had it enabled.)
  • Completely redownloading, and reinstalling the game. Nothing worked.
  • Moving the game to an entirely different drive

As far as I can tell, i've done everything within my power to troubleshoot this issue. I believe EA's anticheat has just become far more sensitive after the secure boot update as I'm noticing far more people having a similar issues, but with random drivers.

What's the driver version you're seeing for Qcamain10x64.sys in Windows Device Manager?

Look for Qualcomm Atheros Wireless under Network Adapters. Double click on it and go to driver tab. Next click on driver details and find Qcamain10x64.sys version number in the list.

This qcamain10x64.sys driver is part of Windows’ default driver repository and may be installed automatically via Windows Update for compatible hardware . I don't understand why is this driver in Javelin's deny list. Need to ask from AntiCheatWard

He did say that he already tried to disable wifi and update drivers.

  • qcamain10x64.sys appears to be a system file associated with the Qualcomm Atheros Wireless LAN driver, which is used for Wi-Fi connectivity on Windows systems.

Do you use wifi on your computer? If no, it might be possible to disable the driver. If yes, it might be possible to update the driver.

EA Javelin Anticheat has detected an incompatible driver. Please update or disable [driver.name] and restart.

You’ll get this error if the software you’re using is on our denylist for security reasons.

If you know the software associated with the [driver.name] portion of the error code, try updating the software and restarting your game. If that doesn’t work, it means the software itself is on our denylist and you’ll need to disable it to get back into your game.

For steps on updating or disabling software, refer to the software manufacturer.

If you don’t recognize the driver name, check out this list of common denylisted software and their associated driver names. For most of the software below, ensuring you’re on the latest version will be enough to restore compatibility with EA Javelin Anticheat.

Please note this list isn’t exhaustive, and there may be other softwares on our denylist.
