Summarize your bug Sometimes when changing the smart grenade type, it will still act as a scatter grenade when anti-armor is selected.
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Switch smart grenade to anti-armor and throw.
What happens when the bug occurs? The smart grenade will act as a scatter grenade, and switch the HUD icon back to scatter mode, even though anti-armor was selected.
What should be happening instead? The grenade should act as an anti-armor grenade.

I don't know if this is related to the bad server lag in some matches, but I have occasionally noticed that when I set the smart grenade to anti-armor, it will switch itself back to scatter again when but only when I try to throw it - not immediately, which I would expect if it was lag related.

This doesn't necessarily require that the grenade was just switched, but I haven't noticed it happen if I've switched it more than maybe 6 to 8 seconds before.

Sorry if it's server related, hopefully that will shake out when the server performance is improved.

  • Getting this issue too. I was playing initially on a portal server so I could actually play the updated map which was when I noticed it. Switched to AoW mode and seemed to be ok most of the time but did notice it when performance was taking a hit, so might be related to server issues. The portal map seemed to be taking a performance hit most of the matches. Still a damn annoying issue when you’re expecting to throw a scatter and its not.

  • Happens way more often than “rare 1-10% of the time it’s almost half the time it does this
