Solved Event Viewer Error + improvements for stuttering

Hello there,

I have solved the Error that was always present in the Windows "Event Viewer" that lots of people and me were facing.

- Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022

- Found an improvement that we can do in Windows to resolve or improve the stuttering.

// Event Viewer - Handle Error with some ui steps //

The error that I see in the Event Viewer, just wrote few rows up here, is related to BF pid with this error 0xC0000022 that looks like to be a denied permission error.

To avoid it, in the Event Viewer I have done 2 steps:

// First Step //

- C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2042

- Right click on BF2042.exe -> Compatibility -> Run this program as an administrator

- Right click on BF2042_launcher.exe -> Compatibility -> Run this program as an administrator

- Right click on BF2042Trial.exe -> Compatibility -> Run this program as an administrator

// Second Step //

- Search in Windows -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Legacy Components -> [ENABLE] Direct play

// Extra Steps //

- Click on Windows button -> find the EA folder -> click on "EA app Updater"

- Open EA Software

- Repair BF2042

- After the repair go in C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat -> open EasyAntiCheat.exe and repair the game,

if gives you an error, repair from EA the game again

- Open the game from EA, it warns you that you have to give to BF2042 Administrator permissions -> click ok

// Improvement for stuttering //

- Search in Windows for -> Indexing Options

- Click on modify

- Local Disk C:

- Users

- [yourUserName]

- Documents

- Battlefield 2042

- [DISABLE] cache folder

Cache folder can grow, be greater than 1.5 Gb and our ssd/hdd can start to index this folder while we are playing.

This "could be" a cause of high Disk usage and stuttering, BTW there is no reason to index these files...

Warning: if you don't think is a good idea to give admin permission to a game/software for whatever reason (your personal data/ machine info/ logs) don't do it

ps. If you all enable the hidden files in Windows and you run BF2042, you can see in "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2042" a file called BF2042.exe.local that will be created and destroyed every time you launch or kill the game.

If someone knows what it does, hope can give us some more information about it here in this Topic, thanks.

  • yeaa... I did what you said... didn't work

    from my investigation into the problem - it only occurs on high-end machines; it is connected with general Frostbite engine - it makes GPU overclock too much or sth like that
