I have the same issue since the newest patch in every game too.

I also have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 (2nd gen) Audio Interface.

When the sound goes garbled I have to toggle my sample rate from 44100 to 48000 and back to restore it..

There is no issue with running my headphones. This bug strickly effects the Focusrite audio interface.

I just updated my Scarlett 2i4 to the newest drivers with no change having the bug. driver 4.119.3

@DirtyxLarry 100%. If I switch to headphones the problems go away for that time being. I also switch the sample rate to temporarily fix the issue while in game.
