Spawning in vehicles at start of round

I've the same issue, I'm on XSX. This is not by design, I've seen people on other platforms spawning on vehicles at start of round.
Can anybody help? This combined with the forced spawn can be very annoying. @EA_Atic

Summarize your bug At the start of the round unable to spawn in to a gunner seat in a vehicle. It only allows a driver or pilot to spawn and they have to land or stop for you to get in after the round starts.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? At the start of a round have someone pick a vehicle and then have a second player try to select it as a spawn point. You can move to select it but can’t actually click to confirm
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing. You spawn in on the ground vs in a gunner seat
What should be happening instead? Should spawn in to a gunner seat like you do during the round

Same Here on XSX. No option to spawn in any vehicles as passenger or gunner, only driver/pilot. 

I have this issue, too, on PS5. I have never been able to start the game as a passenger/gunner in a vehicle. Unless I manage to snag a vehicle as a driver, I spend the first two minutes of every match walking to the action. Sometimes I can highlight one of the vehicles on the map before the game starts, but no matter what I do, I am just spawned into the map on foot. Once I've been in the match and died (or used the re-deploy option), I can spawn into vehicles as a passenger/gunner. I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this issue, and I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one complaining about this who isn't on an Xbox. Also, just to clarify, I know patches have come out since this thread was posted, but I'm fully updated and played last night and the issue is still ongoing.

I'm having the same issue as well. Really annoying having to get picked up everytime.

How the hell did they forget to add this in? It's been part of the series for a long time now. Did they really not test out the game even once? Because starting a match just once would have shown them right away. Another issue is getting LOCKED IN to spawning a vehicle. You cannot back out of it. That's not a feature, that's just laziness or incompetence in programming. You could switch which vehicle you're spawning in with in the previous games, suddenly they forgot?
