Squad Leader Takeover

Yes, I know this isn't a bug but DICE needs to do a better job to improve squad cohesion.

Make it very obvious to the current squad leader that he/she is a leader.  Maybe include squad leader hints or some kind of on-boarding process for new Battlefield players not familiar with how squad / squad leaders can be most effective when working together in harmony.

We need a way to create new squads, especially if you're joining a server as a party.

At the end of a round, why don't the squads stay intact?  It's a shame when you actually do find the rare squad / leader and play well through a round only to be split up and put into another clueless squad.

The squad should gain XP for completing squad goals just like in previous Battlefield versions, otherwise this is just a giant, wide-open, deathmatch.

This is a bug, yes. "If your Squad Leader isn’t issuing orders, you can also use the Commorose to request them. If the Leader ignores multiple Order requests, the person sending the requests gets promoted to Squad Leader."

Yet it does not do anything, no matter how often you request orders, it does not promote you if the squad leader isn't issuing orders. 

It does nothing, and that is a bug.

@decolonizeThat is a good find. That is official EA documentation stating that the mutiny feature should still be present in BF2042. Up until now, I'd thought they were considering this a legacy feature.

Considering they've documented it, it should be treated as a bug indeed.

I came here to request this as a feature because I missed it from previous BF titles. I also didn't realize that it was a documented 2042 feature. I'd love to see this fixed. Especially with the lack of squad management tools, it's very frustrating when the leader ignores requests for orders.
