SWS Scope magnification reverts to base ADS zoom level

Summarize your bug Scopes on the SWS-10(possibly others?) randomly lose their magnification and revert to red-dot level magnification, no matter which scope is being used. For example: Be in a gunfight at range and actively shooting, take a hit/shot from enemy and take cover while simultaneously stim-shotting/self healing; After healing and attempting to re-engage the gunfight, I will ADS to discover that my 10x, 8x, or 6x scope has zero magnification. It happens randomly when switching weapons, interacting with things, or for no apparent reason in between shots where ADS is released & re-engaged. The only remedy I have found has been to open the weapon attachments cross, switch to a red dot sight, equip, re-open attachments cross, select desired scope, & rinse/repeat until the magnification decides to return. This has cost me several gunfights, & caused me to actively avoid others.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Happens to me exactly as described above
What happens when the bug occurs? The only remedy I have found has been to open the weapon attachments cross, switch to a red dot sight, equip, re-open attachments cross, select desired scope, & rinse/repeat until the magnification decides to return.
What should be happening instead? Correct magnification ALL of the time.
