I have a 165Hz G-sync monitor. I'd turn Vsync on inside the game and increase video card settings until the video card is maxing 100% around 120fps.
I don't think 2042 has a built-in framerate limiter so maxing the video card at 120fps is the next best thing.
Gsync and Freesync reduce Vsync input lag by quite a bit so long as the game framerate is below the monitor's refresh rate Hz. Vsync helps will client-side hit detection by delivering frames at perfect intervals.
Yes, there are serious netcode issues such as 45Hz network tick rate instead of 60Hz.
