- 3 years ago@Rokebo73 I tried this before and couldn't find a difference, maybe I had the high perfomance already like ultimate
I mean this one:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/107967-add-remove-maximum-processor-state-power-options-windows.html
so you can set "maximum perfomance of the processor" to a limit of like 99%- 3 years ago
It was already 100% for me. I lowered it to 99% and tried the game again, but it's still the same. x_x

@Sorang-kunAre you still forcing cores upon the game, if yes the rule is to allow only 80% of the cores (NOT threads) to be used by BF2042. I would even delete that config file if you added it to the documents folder.
I fail to understand why Steam, Origin and all that stuff needs to be open if your setup runs crappy with this game title. Some users fixed their CPU/disk load issues with closing Steam before launching Battlefield.
Question: how high is your CPU load at idle in windows... I'm at 2-5%, browsing (6-8 tabs), discord open and watching a youtube stream....
Battlefield is way demanding on the CPU than any other game out there... I hope we can fix your issues sir

@Rokebo73With those applied, the CPU usage is no longer at 100% in the starting menu.
However, once I'm in an actual game it goes all the way back to 100% as always. It sometimes drops to between 97-98%
but... That doesn't really make a difference. I'm still getting 30 to 45 FPS. x_x
