The CPU usage is abnormally high all the time.

The CPU usage is always at 90%~100% when I'm playing BF2042, while the GPU usage is not that high. Thus, the overall frame rate is very low, and the game is quite laggy that it's not playable. I've...

@Sorang-kun keep us up to date how it worked out.
I have 2666mhz Ram (40gb with 4 slots / 2x dual channel) and only was able to solve the high cpu usage by the described method of lowering down the cpu perfomance limit. I still have no clue why this only works (and it's only bf 2042...)

    Update your motherboard's bios, opt for a freshly  installed OS, install AMD chipset drivers, Nvidia drivers and finally BF2042... This really leaves me puzzled
