The game is keep rebooting my PC after 3.1 update

CPU 12600KF @3.7

RAM 16G x2 with 2666MHz

GPU 2070s

before the 3.1 updates,  the GPU usage was around 95%-99%, and the CPU shoud be around 70%-80%.

After the 3.1 updates, the usage of the CPU and GPU was changed. CPU usage is up to 100%, and GPU usage is down to 70%-80%.

Then my game was crashing every round, dark screen, and PC rebooting, with no error message. In the beginning, I thought it may be the XMP problem, so I try to disable every OC setting. The game still crashed my PC. Then I try to reinstall the windows, but still no help.  Now the frequency of the current crash is inconsistent, sometimes 5 mins start the round, and sometimes will be 30-40 mins or more.  The crash situation was the same, dark screen the system reboot.

    I think I find the problem, the Z690 has 8+8pin for the CPU power supply, and I was only using 8pin for the past year. I added another 8pin, and it did not crash anymore yesterday. I will keep testing for it.

  • try putting everything on high or above in settings, higer settings in-game should reduce CPU load and increse usage of the GPU instead. @ODSTroopers

  • Hello @EA_Atic

    I lowered the display setting to the default. The usage problem seems solved.

    But now the game still keeps rebooting my PC. At present, it seems that it has little to do with CPU usage.

    Now the situation is a little bit worse. I even can't start one round.😞

    And I had tried many things,

    try use the scan now to repair the system;

    try to do a clean reboot;

    try to repair the game with steam;

    try to down the terrian setting to high

    My PSU is 760W. it should be enough.

    After I reinstall the windows, yes, it reboots the PC every time.

    But the rebooting only happens when playing the BF2042. I also play other games like Witchers 3 and MFS2020. This situation never happened.

    Would start troubleshooting hardware at this point. Something hardware is triggering the shutdown. Recommend that you reach out to the company a PC repair shop to investigate what is going on. @ODSTroopers
