The problem of high ping

Hello everyone
I have a high ping problem
For your information, I have a good internet connection, 500 megabytes of fiber optics
But for more than a month, I have noticed the network bar appearing and disappearing in the game
And now it has become a problem that does not disappear and the ping is high from 95 and above
I do not know what the problem is
For your information, when I play Battlefield Five, the ping is stable at 60
I have a good internet speed and in reality I get a ping, but in Battlefield 2042, there is a problem

Is the network bar in Battlefield 2042 showing packet loss? Please post a screenshot of the network bar in Battlefield 2042.

Unfortunately the traceroutes posted above to European Battlefield servers doesn't show much information due to how the connection is being routed.

The traceroute starts at 192.168.1.1 which is your home router. The traceroute ends at the Amazon Battlefield data center hosting the game servers.

All the hops in between the first hop and the last hop are ISP routers forwarding the connection packets.

The home router on hop 1 is dropping some packets but I don't see any other packet loss on the other hops, so it doesn't appear to be a problem.

Battlefield should be playable with a 100 ping since it uses client-side hit detection.

I do not suffer from data packet loss, but I suffer from delayed response and high ping.

    When I use VPN

The ping number drops to 70

I have Battlefield 5 and 4 and I play without using VPN, the ping is low

The problem is that Battlefield 2042 is only

In games like Battlefield 1 and 4 and 5 it is between 60 to 70

While Battlefield 2042 is higher than 100

It definitely sounds like routing issue if using a VPN lowers the ping time. Battlefield 2042 might have game servers in different locations than Battlefield 1 and 5.

The only way to know is lookup the IP addresses of the game servers and see which country they're in.

I personally wouldn't worry about a 100 ping time because Battlefield uses client side hit detection. I played on European game servers with a 120 ping from America with no lag issues. Due to the lag compensation Battlefield uses I actually think right around 100 ping is the sweet spot.

I expect that there are servers for the game in Saudi Arabia But that ping is high

But the games far away in Europe have a low ping?

    There is an unknown problem

I spoke with my operator and it was confirmed that there is no problem with my connection or direction, but it may be in the Battlefield servers themselves

    The problem I face

There are some people playing with a low ping of up to 20

And I used to play with this number

I now cannot see who is killing me, I only see that I am killed and I do not know from where because of the ping delay
