Yep. Several people has this problem since launch and EA is doing nothing to fix it. Sometime the game works, but 90% of the time I get this error.

Reinstalled 2042 recently, and tried to play with two of my friends on 9/23. One of my friends experienced this exact issue. Got the game to launch once, then it failed, and they spent 3 hours troubleshooting, trying to get past the persistent data error. It still won't launch properly, even after full uninstall/ reinstall of origin and 2042, full reboots of the machine, ensuring firewall settings were good, overlays were disabled, etc.
I'll see if I can get him to post if you need additional info.
