I'm having that exact same issue with the same error code 1:4688822970:-4685921B
I have tried absolutely everything I've read on the forums here and on the steam discussion, as I am also playing via steam on PC.
I would upload a video clip of the network connections with the disconnections for bf2042, however looks like you can't upload videos or zip files to the forums...
I tried to look more at the networking, but EA Anticheat doesn't like programs like wireshark to be running.

However as I can connect to the servers to play sometimes with no issues and other times with issues there is clearly an issue with the EA side of things.
