Text Chat Error - All / Team / Squad

Same issue here!!

yes i posted the same issue although mine began tuesday i believe, before the whole age verify thing in the ea app. it was fine for half the day then restarted game after making a few display setting changes and thats when it started. ive confirmed with several people i regularly party up with who said the same happened to them in the same span of time. fortunately some friends use ea app overlay for messaging (cleaner direct to single player) who can relay anything vital to others. still its a crucial part of game play at times and i hate mics

I didn’t try with anyone but I think it began around Tuesday/ Wednesday for me too. I even tried on PS5 yesterday and I received the same error :(

I got this problem as well. I tried repairing the game, clearing the cache of EA App. Toggling off and on chat option in the game settings, but nothing works. 

I see this problem is happening for some time now, and zero dev acknowledgment. 

I’m pretty sure this is just because EA is slowly killing the bf2042 servers. Same reason the matchmaking is absolute cheeks

its a global issue related to the system services for instant messaging functions. theyre not trying to kill the game, but if they dont put more skilled people at the helm to maintain the game then thatll be the result. its likely going to be a few weeks till theres a fix. the games in maintenance mode and most widespread errors will likely be 3-4 weeks in total with more individual or small groups of player errors being 6 weeks or more.

its literally everyone and its on the back end. EA's issue. no amount of effort on any of our parts can resolve this

id suggest adding players you squad up with often as friends so you can create parties (more fun with familiar players anyways) and then start group discord chat servers your party/squad can join and use desktop overlay or mobile. this fix is gonna take a while im guessing

I heard from a friend of a friend, this is due to the US administrations crack down on anti-american rhetoric.
Censoring on the part of Jared Kushner's recent involvment.. I didn't beleive it at first.. but it's starting to look more and more like it might be true. There's no way a 'working' development team could leave something this large, untouched, uncommented, for so long..
