I have this exact same issue with the exact same scenario. When I try and play with my Xbox friend (the only reason i play the game is so we can play together) this error code comes up.
0 help from EA on all fronts. None of their fixes work and when you try and get in touch with a real person you get an automated response.
Tried all the fixes above and nothing works.
Genuinley the worst big gaming company going right now and it isnt even close. If they think theyre getting any of my hard earned money again theyre nuts.
Like how in the * does EA not fix this God damn issue. The fact that they see these messages and just ignore them is complete dog *. Fix your game. I want to play a game with a player from PlayStation. But I can't cause your game is dog *. Please God actually do something and earn your money instead of skimming over this issue that is reported by tens of thousands of people. Do a Google search and pull your heads out of the embarrassment that COD has put you through and fix your game. Fix it!!!! If I see this error one more time I'll find you. I'll drive to your house and make you login on your PC and then I'll have my friend join your party and you won't be able to play for an hour or 2. Yeah take that. How do you ignore something that's such a problem???? How?????
