Unable to see my PC Friends - BF2042

I'm trying to play BF2042 with my friends who are on PC. I'm on Xbox Series X.
I search their names in game on the xbox and they don't appear. But if I go to my EA app I can add them there.
My EA account is linked with my xbox account and I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled also.
We've tried to find a mutual server we can all join so that we can add eachother that way.
However, no mutual server came up that we could all see. We even tried to host and we couldn't find eachother.
Yes Crossplay is enabled for all of us. Yes we all have the same version of the game.

Am out of ideas. Please help :)
