Update required infinitely, no error code

Battlefield 2042 Update infinite loop

EA App says Battlefield 2042 needs update after Season 5 came. I apply the update, it goes through... and it says the same thing, update required. It does NOT update not sure what it does. Just keeps updating and still requiring update. Game was working well before this season. The last time this happened was season 4, same thing. Now it doesn't help that I kill all EA processes in task manager. Nothing works to make the update go, no error messages.

    @Cookiefield2042 I also had to update after update applied. If it says "preparing to update", then see if the disk is being used. This usually takes a long time on non-SSD NVMe.

    Found a solution for me: on EA app, top left triple dash icon > help > app recovery > clear cache

    Thank you! I had trouble updating my BF 2042 which wouldn't update after clicking the update button.
