V-Sync + G-Sync not capping FPS?

I only need 100 FPS as that's all my monitor can do, I have G-Sync and V-Sync on but it's not capping my FPS at 100 so my 3090FE is pumping out 130+fps in game and 160+fps in the menu's all the time and the fan is driving me crazy, anyone esle finding the same? Any fix for it?

I usually run G-Sync + V-sync in all my other games and the 100 fps cap works fine and keeps my GPU nice and quiet.

  • @RipGroove99 Don’t use v sync it gives you input lag. Just use g sync and cap the fps in the Nvidia control panel or with something like Riva. In Previous battlefield games you could cap the fps with a console command. Maybe in this one it works too.
  • I have no issues with input lag doing it the way I do. I'm pretty fast at getting headshots so input lag clearly isn't an issue for me. Capping FPS in Rivatuner actually gives me more input lag which I don't like. Not sure why the V-Sync option in 2042 just isn't working for me.

  • @RambobangJust tried the limiter in NVCP, it does seem to work in 2042 so I've turned off V-Sync in game and I'll see how I get with that.
